Polar explorer, scientist, skiing champion and Norwegian diplomat, Fridtjof Nansen worked for the recognition of refugee status. Tomber du Monde weaves a rhizomatic quest around this great figure, a riff on questions of the environment, migration, geopolitics and exploration. Questioning boundaries — geographical and political boundaries, but also art’s boundaries — Tomber du Monde orchestrates a great shift of gaze towards those hybrid, unexplored zones where another life is trying to break through.
