In some words...

Commissioned by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, and on the occasion of the French Presidency of the European Union, a morning of debate on the future and freedom of the press will be organised on 3 May 2022 in an emblematic Brussels café, the Greenwich café, in partnership with the French Institute. The date of 3 May is also an opportunity to emphasise the symbolic dimension, as it is World Press Freedom Day.

The meeting will bring together two journalists from French and Belgian media outlets and will be moderated by a student from a local journalism school: the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

The aim of this scheme is to strengthen the links between French and local media and to contribute to a better integration of academic and professional networks in the field of journalism. This year's theme is "Doing journalism differently": it will address the issue of new media that are reinventing journalism today in a context of political, economic and technological developments in the European Union.
