Espace Jean-Pierre de Launoit, Resource Centre: the cdr

Throughout your course with us, benefit from an area dedicated to the learning of French and the discovery of French and francophone culture: the cdr! Resources available for consultation in the cdr have been specially chosen for students and teachers of French as a foreign language.

The resources have been displayed in different zones:

  • je bouquine > Read novels, comics, books about art, food, culture...
  • je regarde > Watch films in French with French or English subtitles.
  • je découvre > Discover Brussels, Belgium and the Francophone cultures.
  • je m'informe > Follow the news and  read the Francophone, Belgian & international press.
  • je navigue > Surf  the web with computers, tablets or the free wifi connection.
  • j'apprends > Learn  French with exercise books, dictionaries, grammar books, etc.
  • la sélection > The selection is a choice of key resources selected by our teaching and documentary team for each learning level of French. You just need to pick a book matching your level!

Les parcours pédagogiques

Activities called "Les parcours pédagogiques" are organised at the cdr in the framework of your course to give you tips to make the most of your French learning. During a course, explore Magritte's world, meet an author or investigate on Belgian customs.

Don't forget to sign up to Culturethèque (“CultureLibrary”), the digital library offered when you enrol a course with us! It can be accessed via a computer or a mobile telephone anywhere in Belgium. Using this portal, you can consult e-books, audio books in simple French, press titles and comic books, etc.. Find out more on
