Determine your level

Enrolling at the Alliance Française Bruxelles-Europe for the first time? Unless you have no knowledge of the French language (which means you are at breakthrough level A1), you must take our language proficiency test before you enrol.


The language proficiency levels we use follow the recommendations of the CEFR developed by the Council of Europe and are recognised internationally:

Once you know your level, you can complete the registration process online via our online enrolment platform!

Please note that our courses department will make sure you are enrolled in a course matching your results at the language proficiency test. If not, you will be replaced in the right course.

Enrolment deadline
Enrolment ends the last Friday (or Thursday if Friday is a bank holiday) before the course begins.

Enrol online!
Online enrolment for one session opens one month and a half before the start of term.  If you have any problems while enrolling online, please consult the step-by-step enrolment process.


Conditions for enrolment

You must be aged 18 or over to enrol for our standard courses. However, teenagers aged 16 or over on the start date of the course can be enrolled by a parent or legal guardian, who will be required to co-sign a consent form with the student.
