The "Lunchtime Lectures" programme was set up in 2017 on the initiative of the Permanent Representation of France to the European Union and the European Commission, in conjunction with the Collège Belgique and the Alliance Française Bruxelles-Europe.

These conferences are intended for European Commission staff only. This programme is part of the wider "Lunchtime lectures" programme. It aims to introduce this European audience to the realities and issues specific to the French-speaking linguistic and cultural area, and thus to offer them a broader perspective of the French-speaking world.

Thanks to a variety of speakers from the worlds of art, culture and science, the themes addressed illustrate the richness of the French-speaking world and its importance within the European institutions.
