These courses are taught on an interactive basis and occasionally
include role-playing exercises. Advancement is based on the
recommendations of the Common European
Framework for Language References defined by the Council of
Europe.
In order to meet the widest possible range
of needs, Alliance française de Bruxelles-Europe offers courses
paced to suit different learning styles :
Intensive courses
The fastest way to learn! You
have classes every day...
3 hours a day, Monday through Friday, meaning 15
hours a week, for a total of 60 hours of class over a 4-week period.
Two options:
- morning: 9h00 to 12h00

afternoon: 13h00 to 16h00
Semi-intensive courses
You have class three times a week...
- For levels A1 to B2 :
2½ hours a day, on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday, meaning 7½ hours a week, for a
total of 30 hours of class over 4 weeks.
2 options :

morning: 9h30 to 12h00
- afternoon: 13h30 to 16h00
- For the C levels :
3 hours a day, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday,
meaning 9 hours a week, for a total of 36 hours of class over
4 weeks.
Only one option :
morning: 9h00 to 12h00
Extensive classes
You have class twice a week... 2 hours a
day :
- mornings, on Tuesday and Thursday
or - evenings, Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and
Thursday,
for a total of 16 hours of class
over 4 weeks.
Saturday classes (except in summer)
You have class once a
week...
- for 30 hours over 10 weeks
- 3 hours a week - 9:00-12:00.
Please note that registering for 3 intensive
class sessions and 4 semi-intensive or 4 extensive class sessions
entitles you to a 10% reduction in the cost of your study programme.
